1. The service

IsItDown (downcheck.app) is a free tool that checks whether public websites respond, and reports technical details such as response time, HTTP status, redirects, DNS records and SSL certificates. It also offers an internet speed test that runs on Cloudflare's global network (speed.cloudflare.com); when you run it, your browser connects directly to Cloudflare.

2. Acceptable use

You may use IsItDown for personal and professional checks of websites. You agree not to:

• use the checker or speed test to flood, stress-test or attack any website or our own server;
• automate requests in a way that bypasses our rate limits or bandwidth limits;
• use the service to probe private networks or systems you are not authorised to test;
• scrape, resell or republish the service as your own.

We limit how many checks and how much speed-test traffic each visitor can use. Requests above those limits are refused automatically.

3. Accuracy

Results show what our server saw at the moment of the check. A website can behave differently from your location, network or device, and some services deliberately block automated checks. Results are provided for information only and are not a guarantee of availability or performance.

4. No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IsItDown is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service or the information it provides.

6. Third-party websites and advertising

IsItDown is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any website or platform it checks; all trademarks belong to their owners. The site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense; see our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
